The sound of the temple bells has already rung out—the signal for homecoming. Elderly family members at home are eagerly awaiting their return, and it’s finally time for those who’ve ventured far away to prepare for their journey home. No matter how vast or glamorous the world outside may be, only the familiar streets and the cherished dialect of one’s hometown truly carry the essence of "home."

As the year draws to a close, after a busy 12 months, we gently wave our sleeves, brushing off the dust of our relentless journey, letting go of the hustle and bustle from the past year. Holding the phone in our hands, we tell Mom and Dad that we’re about to head home.

Returning home for the New Year is the most beautiful journey of all—no matter how far you’ve been from home or how busy life has kept you, there’s always a warmth waiting to welcome you back. Coming home for the holidays is the greatest gift you can give your parents. No matter how vast the world may be, you must return home, where your beloved mother awaits, filled with longing. After all, celebrating the New Year together with family is the true essence of reunion.

Although the outside world is full of wonders, nothing can compare to the warmth of home. Once upon a time, we longed for the wider world, stepping out with dreams in our hearts and wandering faraway lands. We managed to break free from the confines of our hometown, yet somehow, we could never truly escape its embrace. The outside world can be overwhelming—sometimes harsh, often unforgiving. After years of hard work and relentless striving in distant places, our parents’ hair has turned gray. Yet, the cherished memories of childhood remain etched in our minds, unshaken by time. No matter how vast the world may seem, at the end of the day, home always holds a special place in our hearts.

The outside world is vast, yet the place to call home feels incredibly small! You carry your heart full of passion as you set off for distant lands, hustling through a bustling, unfamiliar city where you’ve left behind your youthful footsteps—and tears of both bitterness and longing. Yet, even so, you still choose to wander on…

Does the bustling vibrancy of the metropolis leave you, who are adrift, feeling even more empty, lonely, anxious, and filled with longing?

Once upon a time, you began to miss the delicious meals your mother used to prepare—and you longed for the various snacks from your hometown. You started reminiscing about the busy farming seasons back home, recalling your parents' weathered figures, wondering if they were still working tirelessly in the fields at sunset.

No matter how big or wonderful the world may be, you must return home for the New Year. During the 2020 Spring Festival travel rush, I hope everyone can smoothly secure their tickets home! Whether you have money or not, make it home for the New Year!
